Precaution rules / Difference between polish and lustre / FAQs

Below, you will find some frequently asked questions from users of our products.

Q:

How do I renovate and give a gleaming shine to my car’s paintwork and which product must I use?

A:

First of all, check out the state of your paint:

1 - Result: Paint in good condition but just missing a bit of shine.

Do you want to get it back to having a nice glittering shine in 20 minutes?

In this case, use a polish or a wax.  The “Cire Effet Miroir” (Mirror Effect Wax) would be the ideal product: you apply and wipe with tremendous ease.  The final result is superb:  extreme shine with a mirror effect.  Also allows for window cleaning and prevents dirt build-up, water repellent effect.

Do you want to perform a long lasting resistant treatment, with an intense shine?

In this case, use our Lustreur Protecteur Xénium (Xénium Shine Protector).  Use the same way as above.  You will obtain an intense shine which will last several months thanks to a shine-fixing-agent reinforced with PTFE (Polytetrafluorethylene, shiny, long lasting film) found in Xénium Shine Protector.

Trial : Run the back of the hand over the bonnet before treatment and repeat afterwards.  You’ll immediately notice how much smother the surface is.

2 -Result:  Paint rough, rusted, and covered with visual blemishes and tiny scratches.

Basically, paintwork in a very bad state.  You wish to: bring back a resisting shine?

It’s doable but it’s going to require a bit more time.  On the other hand, if you can renovate your paintwork for just a couple of dozen euros, it’s a price worth paying.

Stage 1:  Use Rénovateur Peinture (Paint Renovator) which contains micro-particles.  Ideal product to bring back the shine.

The application is achieved with “Ouate de Lustrage” in a criss-cross direction.  When you have a soft, shining surface upon touching it, finalise with a micro fibre cloth.

Stage 2:  To keep this shine, apply Xénium Shine Protector afterwards, giving you the chance to protect the lacquer and to obtain the mirror effect of new paint.

Q:

How do I revitalise the dashboard and plastic?

A:

First of all, clean the plastics well by using MaxNet Multi-Usages NéoClean (NéoClean MaxNet Multi-Purpose).
For best results, use a micro fibre cloth.  Rinsing unnecessary.

Next, spray a Plastics coating product (400ml aerosol), flower or fruit scented according to your taste.

For a longer lasting treatment, we advise you to use the Plastiques Soin Intérieurs Base Végétale NéoClean (NéoClean Vegetative-based Interior Plastics Care) professional product renovator (as a spray).

Q:

How do I clean and remove stains from the fabric, seats, door panels, linings and carpets?

A:

First of all, whatever the degree of dirtiness and quality of the upholstery (fabric, carpet, alcantara, etc…), we advise you to treat all of the material, even if there is only one small stain.  Why?  If only one part of the seat (stain) is treated, there will most certainly be differences in tone, even ringed stains.

We suggest the Tissus et Moquettes NéoClean (NéoClean Fabrics and Carpets) or MaxNet Multi-Usages (MaxNet Multi-Purpose).

Guidelines for use:

  • Spray on the object to be treated.
  • Leave for about one minute. To remove the stain, dab with a micro fibre cloth until clean. Then rub with a soft-haired brush.
  • Hoover over to remove the particles of dirt and to increase drying time.

Q:

How do I wash the bodywork without water?

A:

Yes !  It’s possible to wash the main bodywork without water.

The shortage of water is an ever increasing phenomenon.  Year after year, several dozen regions are affected.

NéoClean Lavage Sans Eau (NéoClean Waterless Cleaning), allows the washing of the vehicle without the risk of scratches thanks to its unique emulsion-based formula which wraps around the dirt.
Furthermore, cleaning and lustring are both achieved in one wash.  So, the paint is much more shiny than after an ordinary car wash.

Guidelines for use:

  • Use a clean, slightly damp sponge.
  • Spray the product onto the sponge and clean the vehicle bit by bit, including the windows.
  • Use a micro fibre cloth to finish off.

Now, the vehicle will be clean and shiny, saving more or less 100L of water.

Q:

How do I clean aluminium wheels?

A:

Varnished aluminium or polished steel wheels get damaged very quickly, particularly by brake pad action which causes them to stick to hot wheels.  It is necessary to use a product specifically designed for the cleaning of wheels.

We suggest NéoClean Varnished Wheels, spray on cold wheels, rinse under high pressure and the wheels will look like new without having to scrub them.

Attention:  When used on ‘top of the range’ polished steel wheels without protection varnish, use NéoClean Jantes en alu poli et chromes (NéoClean Chrome and Polished Aluminium Wheels).

Q:

How do I remove tiny scratches from the body paintwork?

A:

First, verify the depth of the scratches.  If they are deep enough to have reached the base paint (generally white), only a repaint will fix the problem.

If they are skin-deep, use NéoClean Efface-Rayures (Scratch Remover), a product usable on all paint types, whatever the colour.  Can also be used for motorbikes, mobile homes, laminates, metal, etc…

Put a drop of product on the scratch and rub with a soft cloth (avoid using circular movements) until the scratch disappears.  We advise you to then apply NéoClean Lustreur Protecteur Xénium (NéoCLean Shine Protector) to protect the recently created shine.
